H. M. Kudaligama (1918-1973) was a poet representing the second wave of the Colombo period. The poet Kudaligama is one of the poets who have admired the beauty of nature. He presented the philosophy of human life through the rhythms of nature. He was also known as a Western Romantic poet, also referred to as the Sinhala Shelly.
