The Brave Poor Boy

Once upon a time, there lived a poor boy named Ravi. He lived in a small village with his mother. His mother was very poor, but she taught him to be kind and helpful.

Ravi was a very good boy. He always helped old people and poor people. He also helped his friends at school. Everyone loved him because he was kind and friendly.

One morning, Ravi was going to school. He was walking along a path near the railway line. Suddenly, he saw something terrible. A part of the railway line was broken!

“Oh, no! This is very dangerous!” he said. “A train may come and have an accident!”

Ravi looked around, but there was nobody near him. He knew that he had to do something quickly.

Suddenly, he heard the sound of a train. The train was coming fast!

Ravi was afraid, but he did not give up. He took off his shirt. Then, he hurt his finger and put some blood on the shirt. He used it as a red flag.

He ran towards the train and waved the red shirt with all his strength.

The train driver saw the red flag. He understood that there was danger ahead. He quickly applied the brakes.

The train stopped just before the broken railway line!

All the passengers were safe. The driver got down from the train and thanked Ravi.

“You are a brave boy!” he said. “You saved many lives today.”

Later, the railway officers came to meet Ravi. They praised him for his brave act. They gave him a special Hero Medal and a red flag as a symbol of his courage. They also promised to offer him a job with the railway when he was old enough.

Ravi was very happy. His mother was proud of him, too. From that day, everyone in the village called him “The Brave Boy.”

Ravi showed everyone that even a poor boy could do a great thing. He became a hero because he was kind, brave, and helpful.

Moral of the story: A kind and brave heart can save many lives.
