Sinhala Essay For Grade 7 and 8
Simple idea…
Peace is defined as living without conflict and respecting others. When conflicts and wars between countries, nations, people, and even between humans and the environment come to an end, peace and harmony will emerge. The saying “Unity is power” implies that the true desire of every person is not war, but peace and harmony.
Peace is most needed where there is war. In the past, we have read about wars such as World War I and World War II. Today, we hear about the Russia–Ukraine war and the Israel–Gaza conflict. All of these bring destruction to both humanity and the environment. The loss of human lives and loved ones is the result of rejecting peace. The only path to living freely is through peace and harmony.
Peace and harmony are noble human qualities. People gain many benefits from peace. The first benefit is happiness of the heart. The second is love and respect for one another. Peace brings progress to families. The prosperity of an entire country comes only after peace and harmony are established. Then, the whole world can be built into a beautiful and divine place.
Peace and harmony can be achieved when individuals are wise and compassionate. Therefore, it is important to create a society built on learning and knowledge. Humans should be guided toward goodness and wisdom through religion and philosophy. When peaceful and righteous individuals become leaders, wars will cease and peace will prevail. Then, it will not be difficult to build a world where peace and harmony reign.
