The Sinhala language is like a tree with four branches. Listening, speaking, reading and writing are those four branches. The most important of these is listening.

Any emotion or virtue that is good for oneself and society can be called a values. To be a good citizen of society, one must have values. Good parenting, respect for the elderly, and cruelty to teachers are examples of good values that are frequently reflected in society.
